Privacy policy

Zerone is operated by CLANHQ Private Limited, Amrapali Grand, Zeta-1, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201308, India. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean CLANHQ Private Limited.

We decide how and why your personal data is processed, so we are responsible for it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, where it applies, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.

We collect only what we need to run Zerone.

• Founder waitlist: your first and last name, startup name, startup website, company email, and your confirmation that your startup meets the eligibility criteria.
• Investor waitlist: your first and last name, firm or company, work email, and whether you invest today.
• Your account and startup profile: the facts you enter, such as revenue, cash, burn, team, and round details, and anything you post.
• Verification: the result and date of identity and company registry checks. We never store the ID documents themselves.
• Documents: files you upload as evidence when an investor asks for them. Pitch documents you import are read once and deleted after you confirm the details.
• Payments: your plan, billing history, and billing contact. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider, Razorpay. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage: pages visited and features used, measured without advertising cookies, so we can improve Zerone.
• Messages: what you send us, and replies.

The demo at getzerone.app/demo runs in your browser. Nothing you type there is stored or sent to us.

• To run your account, build your startup page and reports, and calculate your metrics and scores.
• To verify founders, companies, and investors.
• To share what you choose with the investors you choose.
• To bill you, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To email you about your waitlist place, your account, and changes to these terms.
• To improve Zerone, using usage data that does not identify you where possible.

We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell it.

We process your data because you consented (for example, by joining a waitlist or sharing a page), because we need it to provide the service you signed up for, because the law requires it (for example, tax records), or for legitimate purposes such as keeping Zerone secure. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that already happened.

• Investors you share with. Every share link is scoped, can expire, and can be paused or revoked. Sensitive items need your approval.
• Service providers who run Zerone for us, under contract and only for that purpose: hosting (Vercel), database and storage (Supabase), email delivery, payments (Razorpay), and identity and company verification partners.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is reorganised or sold. They must honour this policy.

Your public startup page shows what you choose to publish. Private data is never exposed without your permission.

• Waitlist details: until you join, or until you ask us to remove them.
• Account and startup data: while your account is open. When you move to a lower plan, nothing is deleted. Paid views turn read-only, and you have 30 days to export or upgrade before data moves to archive storage.
• Imported pitch documents: deleted after you confirm the details. We keep a record that they were deleted.
• Verification results: while your account is open, and as long as the law requires afterwards.
• Billing records: as long as tax law requires.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except what we must keep by law.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it, and every database table has access rules. Documents shared with investors are watermarked. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

You can ask us to:

• Show you the data we hold about you, and who we shared it with.
• Correct or complete it.
• Delete it, or export it.
• Stop processing based on your consent.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act.

Email hello@getzerone.app. If you are not satisfied, contact our Grievance Officer below. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU or UK.

Our providers may store and process data outside India, including in the EU and the United States. When they do, we use contracts and safeguards that protect your data to the standard this policy describes.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. Our analytics do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We only email people who asked to hear from us. Every message has a one-click unsubscribe. Investors can also choose not to be contacted again, and we honour it.

Zerone is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or in Zerone before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
